Ilahi Bux Soomro, former Speaker National Assembly and PML-N's candidate on NA-208 Jacobabad, has demanded verification of votes through thumbprint. He accused PPPP's Aijaz Jakhrani of rigging and kidnapping his polling agents on gun point during the polling day.
Addressing a press conference at Karachi Press Club, he alleged that Jakhrani rigged elections in 90 polling stations and his armed men kidnapped polling staff and his polling agents. He said that in 90 polling stations he was leading with 12 thousands votes, however he manipulated results of other polling stations. "Earlier, there were 200 polling stations but few days before the polling day Jakhrani managed to increase the number of polling stations to 300," he blamed.
He said that people of his constituency were fed up with the polices of PPPP and Aijaz Jakhrani, and the latter had been declared winner with the difference of only 5000 votes. He urged ECP to take notice of the massive rigging and verify the votes through thumbprint from NADRA. He alleged that when his supporters held demonstration against the rigging, Jakhrani's men opened fire on them, leaving 17 PML-N workers injured. He said that he had approached Sindh High Court for justice.
