There is no let up in spread of measles, as three more children died of measles here in the Children's Hospital on Wednesday. These casualties have brought the total number of deaths due to the disease of measles to 61 in Lahore and 84 in Punjab so far, sources claimed. No official figures have been provided with regard to total number of deaths due to measles in Punjab.
The three victims of measles who died in Children's Hospital are identified as two-year-old Zoya, two-year-old Haris and one-year-old Babar. Meanwhile, another 70 patients of measles are admitted to different hospitals in Lahore during the last 24 hours. The affected children are being treated as per SOPs provided by health authorities.
