Senior Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader and former Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif has said that PML-N is determined to show wonders with its performance after taking over government while suggestions of the opposition on the issue of power loadshedding and educational issues would be welcomed.
Talking to reporters here on Wednesday he said that PML-N's committees were working day and night ahead of taking charge of state affairs to bring improvement in energy, education, and other sectors. Shahbaz said the PML-N believed in taking practical steps instead of making claims or propaganda campaign. He said that energy-starved people of Pakistan want their problems resolved and they have no interest in the politics of sit-ins and protests.
He said that PML-N's only priority was to resolve people's problems and it had started working on ways to end load shedding even before coming into power. Earlier, addressing a meeting of PML-N, Shahbaz said that education would be PML-N government's priority and apart from setting up Danish schools, missing and other facilities in government run schools would be provided. "We would bring revolutionary changes in the field of education and introduce the system of Rapid Education like Rapid Bus Service," he said, adding, "An amount of Rs 700 billion would be spent on education field during the next five years." Addressing another meeting of PML-N legislators-elect, Shahbaz exhorted upon them to devote their energies for the well-being of people and betterment of the country. He said the assembly members who would devote their energies for public welfare would be rewarded.
Meanwhile, PML-N senior leader Ahsan Iqbal told Business Recorder that Pakistan was currently facing a serious energy crisis due to inconsistent policies of the government. The PML-N has unveiled a roadmap to drive the country out of the current crises by adopting prudent economic policies and focusing on three main sectors ie energy, economy and education also mentioned as 3E Strategy which would help steer the country out of the current challenges, he said. Ahsan said tackling power crisis, reviving the economy and dealing with security issues were most important issues. He said there would be incremental improvement in power load shedding after taking charge by the PML-N.
