Google is now offering its users 15 gigabytes of combined free storage space for emails, pictures and files. Up till now the figure was 10 GB for Gmail and 5 GB for Google Drive and Google+ photos. In future there will be a common quota of 15 GB combining Gmail, Drive and the photos on the company's social network, Google+. Extra capacity can be purchased.
The cost of 100 gigabytes is 4.99 dollars a month while 200 GB can be bought for 9.99 dollars per month. The new scheme is being rolled out gradually for all Google accounts.
