Chairperson Amina Masood Janjua Defence of Human Rights (DHR) hoped that PML-N, President, Mian Nawaz Sharif would fulfil his promise regarding recovery of 'Missing Persons'. Talking to media persons outside the Supreme Court of Pakistan on Monday, the Chairperson DHR said that the present Judicial Commission which was constituted for recovery of 'Missing Persons', remained inefficient as it disposed of 60 cases.
She said that now the SC is compelled to hear these 60 cases due to ineligibility of the Missing Persons' commission. Amina Masood informed that Hafiz Muhammad Tayyab was a student resident of Abbottabad, he has been detained in the fort of Lakki Marwat Scouts.
Janjua said that she has presented list of 95 Missing Persons in the court in which it is appealed that cases should be heard in open courts for recovery of Missing Persons. Moreover, they should be provided basic facilities including health. The Chairperson DHR said that the wife of a Missing Person Shaukat Hayat told that her husband was tortured badly and now he cannot speak. To a question, she said that once Nawaz Sharif visited the camp held for Missing Persons recovery and pledged for prompt recovery of them.
