Caretaker Prime Minister Mir Hazar Khan Khoso Saturday said that incoming government had the ability to successfully handle all internal and external issues confronting the country, exploiting it previous experiences and understanding of the national system.
"I believe that the incoming government is efficient enough to resolve all issues efficiently like energy crisis, terrorism and other problems. They would face them successfully as they know better where the problem exists," Prime Minister said in an interview with Pakistan Television.
He said that he was extremely appeased to see the elections took place smoothly as his government had been mandated. If such smooth transition goes on in future, most of the country's issues would be resolved. The Prime Minister said the government-in waiting had leant a lot from the history so it would tackle the national challenges prudently.
Prime Minister Khoso said the country had earlier been victim of instability owing to frequent changes of the government and repeated martial laws, however, "now the country will see the stability after smooth democratic transition as in the past we had been kept off from democracy."
He said the some internal issues had been prolonging owing to inefficiency of the previous regimes which could be resolved by exploiting all national resources. Replying to another question, he said political parties of Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa took part in elections and if the same system continued smoothly, the country would get deliverance of prevailing crises.
"However, there is need of good governance. Education is pre-requisite for the progress. There is disparity in our education system particularly in Balochistan and Sindh where education standard is comparatively low," the prime minister added. He hoped that the new government would better handle such issues including that of Balochistan. "There should be flexibility in the behaviour. We should examine the pulse and handle it accordingly," he remarked.
He said, "We will have to rise as one nation and pursue the Quaid-e-Azam's golden principles of unity, faith and discipline as following them we can achieve development and prosperity." Responding to a question, Prime Minister Khoso said his government's sole mandate was to hold elections that had been made possible, consequent to the firmness of his team despite various speculations regarding the elections.
"I believed it would have dire consequences if elections were not held. I have never been such happy like today. I have seen Pakistan coming into being. Now I am seeing the democratic transition," he said. About law and order issue in Karachi, Khoso said the metropolis should not merely be considered as Sindh's capital as it housed various communities including Sindhi, Urdu, Balochi and Pushto speaking.
"But I consider them all as Sindhis. The issue can be resolved if anyone get their understanding," he said. When asked about any guideline for the incoming government, he said they were more experienced than him and knows all issues and characteristics of all the regions.
