Management Association of Pakistan (MAP) in its 515th Executive Committee meeting held in Karachi on Thursday elected new office-bearers, Ms Saadia Naveed, President, who is Deputy Managing Director at English Biscuit Manufacturers (Pvt) Ltd.
Syed Masood Hashmi, Vice President MAP, who is CEO at Orient Communications (Pvt) Ltd Asif Ikram, Honorary Secretary MAP, who is Managing Director at SICPA Inks (Pvt) Ltd.
Amir Jamil Abbasi, Honorary Treasurer, who is Partner at KPMG-Taseer hadi & Co. Earlier, during the meeting the outgoing President, Kamal A. Chinoy (Chief Executive of Pakistan Cables Ltd), thanked the Executive Committee members and the MAP Secretariat for their support and contribution during his tenure as the President MAP.
He expressed that it had been a pleasure and a double honour for him to have served this position, firstly because he was honoured to serve MAP and secondly that he was able to follow the footsteps of his father, Amir S. Chinoy, who was the Founding President of MAP in 1964. He said that with the background and experience of the newly elected office-bearers, MAP will certainly grow for the better.
Ms Saadia Naveed, the incoming President MAP, having the distinction of being the first ever lady President of MAP, appreciated the contribution made by the Chinoy family, and particularly by Kamal A. Chinoy, towards MAP. She also appreciated the contribution made by Sarfaraz A. Rehman, who has stepped down as the Honorary Secretary. Both Kamal A. Chinoy and Sarfarz A. Rehman would continue to serve as the Executive Committee members. MAP Office-bearers, Executive Committee members, Executive Director thanked Kamal A.
