International Day against drug abuse and illicit trafficking will be marked on June 26 to promote the cause of fight against drug abuse and to forge a coherent approach by all relevant agencies. This annual event was set up by the United Nations General Assembly in 1987 in the hope to achieve an international society free of drug abuse.
