A PML-F activist was killed near Kumb on Saturday. According to the detail some armed men, who were in police dress, fired rockets and gun shots on village Mehwal Shambani within the jurisdiction of Kumb police station as a result of which Pakistan Muslim League Functional worker Abdul Sattar Shambani was killed. The assailants escaped after the attack. Traders shut down their business and protested against the poor law-and-order situation.
The body of the deceased was brought to taluka hospital Kotdiji and after legal formalities handed over to his relatives. Muhammad Amin Shambani brother of deceased told news persons that armed men in police dress attacked their village. After incident SSP Khairpur suspended SHO Kumb Abdul Rahim Mashuri and posted Abbas Bajwa in his place.
