City District Government Lahore (CDGL) has inaugurated anti-polio campaign here on Saturday. According to a CDGL's spokesperson, in the presence of District Co-ordination Officer (DCO) Lahore Naseem Sadiq, Lady Health Worker Zahida Bibi and Naib Qasid Naseem Iqbal administrated polio drops to under 5 years age children at Union Council 84 in Gulshan-e-Ravi.
While talking with the health staff, DCO Lahore Naseem Sadiq said the health department has set a target of administering polio drops to 1.5 million children. As many as 6000 workers of City District Government Lahore will participate in three-day polio campaign, between July 1 and 3, and the CDGL monitoring teams will check polio teams' performance, he added.
