Saudi Arabia will start issuance of Umrah visas for Pakistanis from today (Thursday). This year, the Saudi government made many basic changes in the policy regarding issuance of visas for Umrah. According to the new policy, a visa-holder will have to travel to perform Umrah within 14 days of visa issuance, otherwise the visa will be cancelled. Earlier, the pilgrims had to go to Saudi Arabia within 30 days of issuance of the visa. Moreover, persons over the age of 40 years can only apply for the Umrah visa.
