Prices moved both ways on the wholesale grain market on Thursday in the process of modest trading, dealers said. On the grams side, grams Australia No was higher by Rs 200 to Rs 5200-5500 and grams Australia No 2 also picked up same amount to Rs 5000-5300, yellow peas Russia, however, fell by Rs 150 to Rs 4450-4650 and yellow peas Dall Russia lost Rs 100 to Rs 5000-5200, dealers said.
Only one change was witnessed on the rice sector, where Irri-6 Sindh was down by Rs 25 to Rs 3675-3750, other items did not show any change due to balanced demand and supply position, dealers said. On the seeds side, cottonseeds oilcake with bag Sindh (old) low type was lower by Rs 50 to Rs 600 and better variety lost Rs 100 to Rs 700, cottonseeds oilcake with bag Sindh (new) inferior variety was down by Rs 50 to Rs 1150 and best type shed Rs 40 to Rs 1300, they said. Prices were unchanged on the cereals sector, they said.
