The Lahore High Court on Friday directed the probe committee to compile its report at the earliest about the alleged failure of the Punjab government in controlling the outbreak of measles. The court adjourned the hearing to July 10. The petition was filed by Judicial Activism Panel (JAP) Chairman Azhar Siddique, who submitted that despite the court orders, the government had failed to take steps to control the outbreak of measles.
Earlier, a law officer submitted that investigation by the inquiry committee was in progress and sought more time to file its report.
