Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Yaqoob Khan Nasar and Abdul Rauf Lala of Pakhtunkhwa Milli Awami Party have been elected as Senators by Balochistan Members of Provincial Assembly (MPAs). Yaqoob Khan Nasar secured 24 votes while Abdul Rauf Lala got 22. Five candidates, including one each from the PML-N, Pakhtunkhwa Milli Awami Party and Jamiat Ulema Islam-Fazl, had contested for two vacant seats of the Senate from Balochistan.
