Monsoon activity is likely to increase over Northeast Punjab and Kashmir during next 24 hours, Flood Forecasting Centre said here on Monday. It said seasonal low lies over Northwest Balochistan and adjoining areas with its trough extending south-eastwards. Weak monsoonal currents are reaching into central and upper parts of the country.
WEATHER FORECAST FOR TODAY Scattered thunderstorm/rain with isolated moderate falls is expected over Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, North Punjab and Kashmir. Isolated thunderstorm/rain is expected over Northeast Balochistan. Met Office said mainly hot & humid weather is expected in most parts of the country. However rain-thundershower is expected at isolated places of Hazara, Islamabad/ Rawalpindi, Gujranwala, Lahore divisions and Kashmir on Tuesday.
RIVERS SITUATION AND FLOOD FORECAST River Indus at Kalabagh & Chashma and River Kabul at Nowshera are in low flood level. All the other major rivers are flowing below low flood level.
