Pakistan Industrial and Traders Associations Front (PIAF) finalised strategy for upcoming LCCI Elections, scheduled for September 23 and 24. The phase-wise election strategy was approved by the PIAF Executive Committee met here on Thursday under the Chairmanship of Malik Tahir Javed. PIAF Pattern-in-Chief Mian Anjum Nisar has been authorised to make final decision for awarding tickets to potential candidates.
PIAF Senior Vice Chairman Khamis Saeed Butt, Vice Chairman Amjad Ali Jawa, LCCI Vice President Mian Abuzar Shad, Chairman Lahore Township Industries Association Nasrullah Mughal, Mirza Arshad Baig of Ferozepur Road Industrial Estate, Syed Mahmood Ghaznavi of Kattar Band Industrial Area, Mahmood Akhter of Kahna Kacha Industrial Area, more than 100 PIAF Executive Committee members from various markets include Urdu Bazar, Paper Market, Chamberlane Road, Ferozepur Road, Shahlam Plastic Market and Badami Bagh were present in the meeting.
It was also decided that the election campaign would be started after Eid-ul-Fitr and during the campaign; the PIAF would also throw light on the menace of extortion that was fast taking roots in Lahore as well. The PIAF Chairman said that the Private sector understands the importance of true leadership; therefore, all efforts would be made to select sector specialists or seasoned businessmen for the LCCI elections. He said they are well aware of the fact that some anti-business people are trying to play down the performance of the Lahore Chamber of Commerce but they would never achieve in their nefarious designs and deeds always speak louder than words. Participants of the meeting lauded the performance of PIAF-Founders Alliance and pledged to run the election campaign more actively and effectively.
