A team of Water and Power Development Authority (Wapda) unearthed massive power theft in three housing societies here on Friday. According to details, a team of Wapda officials on a tip-off conducted raid on three housing societies in Qila Deedar Singh of Gujranwala District. The three towns namely Azmat Town, Ashraf Town and Rehmanpura had acquired illegal connection from 10 power pylons.
A case has been registered against SDO, LS, MR and administration of the three housing societies and after registering the case raids to arrest the culprits started.
