Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) unearthed power theft of Rs 15 million monthly in a residential plaza here on Friday and an accused is arrested. On the directives of Additional Director Javed Akbar Riaz, a team of FIA headed by Assistant Director Khalid Jamil raided a residential plaza located in Gulshan-e-Iqbal area Block 17 of Karachi. Khalid Jamil said in Zainab Plaza electricity worth Rs 15 million was being stolen monthly through underground cables.
The theft power was used for operating lifts, water pumps and other purposes. The FIA team arrested the president of union of Zainab plaza and started the investigation.
