Power shortfall reaches 4,000MW despite a mild weather in the town with a rain spell a day before. According to the NTDC sources, power generation stood at 11,800MW against a demand of 15,600MW, leaving the system with a total shortfall of 3,800MW. Meanwhile, power generation through hydro, thermal and IPPs remained 4,680MW, 1,750MW and 5,370MW, respectively during last 24 hours. Power shortfall in urban, rural areas remained 10 and 12 hours, respectively.
