Instagram brings in major updates
Aiming to enhance the user experience, Facebook-owned photo sharing platform Instagram has rolled out two amazing features, particularly to its Stories feature.
To begin with, the users can now upload up to ten videos or photos at once to their story making it an easier and faster upload experience for the users, unlike previously where a user had to individually upload multiple media, announced the social media platform.
Secondly, users will see a new icon at the top right corner of the screen while uploading media to a story. Tapping the icon will allow them to add multiple media from the gallery.
Instagram’s new update will let users download own content
Apart from uploading multiple pictures at once, users can also individually edit them with text or other available creative tools. The media will be uploaded in whatever order they were selected in. However, the update is only available for Android with plans of introducing it on iOS soon.
With the other new update, the picture-sharing service allows its users to download their data from the platform. According to Tech Crunch, the download contains direct messages, comments, profile information, videos, pictures, likes, searches and much more.
The users can download the data by going to ‘Settings’ and then clicking ‘Privacy and Security’. Under ‘Data Download’, user will then have to click on ‘Request Download’. Email address of the user is required where the data will be exported. This may take up to 48 hours.
For now, the data download tool is only available on the web version of the platform, The Verge reported.
