Atlas Honda unveiled "Honda CD Dream", a new motorcycle with exciting new shape, improved technology, functionality, and aerodynamic contours, on Friday. While providing more choice for Honda fans, Atlas employed advance metallurgy technology in CD Dream to make its major body parts lower in terms of maintenance and have improved impact resistance, making it longer lasting.
Speaking on the occasion, Takahashi, chief guest from Honda Motor Japan, said that the vision of progress that was seen together by Sichiro Honda and Yusuf Shirazi some 50 years ago is blossoming well and today with the launch of Honda CD Dream the vision is transformed into reality in yet another way.
"The CD Dream offers options for the lovers of the most successful model in Pakistan's motorcycle history - the CD 70. We are proud of the confidence and support customers here have given us. Our new product will surely give the discerning customer a choice to have the driving pleasure that this new machine offers as well as that special feel of owning something that is uniquely Honda," he added.
"The implementation of the plan is on target and is opening up new marketing opportunities for Atlas Honda. Given the capabilities of the company along with dedication and enthusiasm of its associates (vendors, sales team and dealers), I am confident that the company is well poised to achieve the one million production and sales target soon," added Takahashi.
Chief Executive Atlas Honda Ltd Saquib H Shirazi said the company was on target to achieve the one million sales target in the next few years while making Honda more affordable to a larger 'young people' segment. "We as a company are faced with many challenges like massive devaluation of rupee, an unorganised sector that has no scruples at all, a slowing economy and a difficult law and order situation, but Atlas Honda has sufficiently localised in terms of parts and management to overcome volatility," he added.
Expressing his gratitude to Japanese guests, Saquib Shirazi said Atlas and Honda had been together for the last 50 years and will remain together for the years to come. "We will focus more in order to satisfy need of our customers to own a Dream bike," he added. Kenji Kawaguchi, President Honda R&D Southeast Asia Co Ltd, in a message to the management conveyed that Honda's strength in Pakistan is brand leadership with quality products; large sales, service, and spare parts network; better model line-up; and highest production capacity of 800k.-PR
