Sialkot is hub of cottage industry and totally export-oriented city of the country, which has a unique export culture and it deserved maximum representation in international trade fairs and exhibition, she said.
The TDAP Secretary further stated that exporter community of Sialkot was playing an instrumental role not only in strengthening the national economy but also fulfilling the social responsibilities. Rabiya Agha also lauded the efforts of businesses for establishing Sialkot International Airport, which is operational and termed it a unique precedent of private sector.
Earlier, she also discussed different issues pertaining to trade with President SCCI Dr Sarfraz Bashir and senior Vice President Mian Muhammad Anwar. She urged upon the SCCI to prepare a five year industry working paper and highlight the demands. The President SCCI underscored the need of doubling the quota of participation in international trade fairs and exhibitions adding that number of exporters is increasing rapidly and under circumstance the TDAP should consider this demand priority basis. The doubling the quota of exporters would definitely help in increasing the export volume, he said.
