Prominent artist and social worker of international repute and fame Jimmy Engineer has reiterated that he considers mural on poetic collection of great philosopher and poet Allama Muhammad Iqbal "Javid Namah" and series of huge paintings depicting sufferings of Muslims while migrating to their new homeland Pakistan as his great artistic achievements.
Talking to the media persons on the eve of birth anniversary of Allama Muhammad Iqbal being celebrated throughout the country and abroad on November 9, Jimmy said that he has been painting for almost four decades now and in the process has created hundreds of paintings in all mediums and forms but he considers doing big mural to transform "Javid Namah" in colour and series of Pakistan Movement paintings highlighting different aspects of Muslims exodus to their new Motherland in 1947, as his major artistic achievements, which had given him immense appreciation and recognition all these years both nationally and internationally. He said that he had accomplished the challenging task in about one year to transform "Javid Namah" into a mural of 10x5 feet size on a wall of bungalow of Justice Dr Javid Iqbal (Retd) in Gulberg Lahore in 1982.
