The Punjab government has completed the process of interviewing the eligible educationists for the slots of Chairmen Intermediate and Secondary Education Boards (BISEs) of Rawalpindi, Bhawalpur, Sargodha and Sahiwal; the posting of new Chairmen in all these four boards will be materialised in the next week.
This was disclosed by Punjab Education Minister Rana Mashhood Ahmed Khan while presiding over the meeting of Punjab Boards Committee of Chairmen (PBCC), here on Friday, disclosed an official. BISEs Chairmen Lahore, Faisalabad, Gujranwala, Multan, Dera Ghazi Khan and Mirpur Azad Kashmir attended the meeting besides Chairman Punjab Board of Technical Education and Acting Chairmen BISEs Rawalpindi and Sargodha.
The Minister acknowledged the significant role of PBCC in improving the examination system in the province because three million candidates appear at the matriculation examination every year while the number of candidates appearing at the intermediate examination reaches 2 million per annum. He appreciated the fact that all the education boards in Punjab are financially self-sufficient.
