'Top priority accorded to protecting rights of employees, consumers': Khurram addresses 113th meeting of BoD, Fesco
The top most priority of reconstituted Board of Directors (BoDs) of Faisalabad Electric Supply Company (Fesco) is to protect the legitimate interests of its consumers and employees, said Khurram Mukhtar Chairman BoD, Fesco. He was addressing the 113th meeting of BoD at Fesco Headquarters on Wednesday.
He said that all segments of society have been given due representation in this board and it would tackle various issues in a holistic manner and it would make best efforts to ensure fair play with all sectors. He said that check and balance would be maintained for the rights and privileges of Fesco consumers and employees.
Earlier, the Board members unanimously elected the Khurram Mukhtar as Chairman of BoD. They also congratulated him and hoped that he would make best efforts for the progress of this company and welfare of its employees. The election process was completed under the supervision of board member Ijaz Ali Khan Additional Secretary (Admn) Ministry of Water & Power. The members of board also introduced themselves. Later, the BoD approved the accounts for the financial year 2012-13 and sanctioned the constitutions of Audit Committee. The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Fesco Dr Rana Abdul Jabbar Khan thanked the board members and briefed them about the administrative steps and developments in Fesco.
The meeting was also attended by Chairman BoD Khurram Mukhtar, Board Members CEO Fesco Dr Rana Abdul Jabbar Khan, Noor Ahamad Senior Joint Secretary Minisry for Water & Power, Ijaz Ali Khan Additional Secretary Admn Ministry for Water and Power, Faiq Javed, Ahsan Afzal Khan, Khawaja Shahid Razzaq Sikka, Chaudhry Javed Kamal, Abdul Hameed Chaudhry and Syed Zia Alamadar.
