Canadian High Commissioner Greg Giokas called on Federal Minister for Interior and Narcotics Control Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan here on Monday and discussed issues of mutual interest including the geo-political situation of the region. The minister said that Pakistan enjoys good fraternal relations with Canada and it intends to further strengthen the relations based on mutual respect and understanding.
Canada has always played a positive role in the development of Pakistan and its people have always been very hospitable in extending support to the immigrants from Pakistan, he added. The Canadian HC said the Canada was playing an important role in the development sector of Pakistan. He also showed great interest in the agriculture sector of Pakistan, which has great potential and both countries can benefit from each other's expertise.
