World experts to attend moot: Jatoi to open international conference on energy today

National Productivity Organisation (NPO), Ministry of Industries and Production (MoI&P) in collaboration with Asian Productivity Organisation (APO) - Japan and World Confederation of Productivity Science (WCPS) will be organising a five-day International Conference today (Tuesday) for addressing various challenges needed to device effective energy-related policies in Asia Pacific Region.
Up to 12 qualified overseas experts from member countries such as Bangladesh, the Republic of China, India, Indonesia, Iran, Republic of Korea, Malaysia, Mongolia, Nepal, Thailand, and Vietnam will be participating in the session. Federal Minister for Industries & Production, Ghulam Murtaza Jatoi will be the chief guest. CEO-NPO, Khawaja Muhammad Yousuf along with other energy related experts will also address the conference.
The main purpose of this session is to understand trends and present status of energy policies, programmes, and measures in the APO region. Experts will discuss potential impacts of energy policies on economies and productivity especially. This five-day conference will serve as a platform for sharing issues and challenges of current energy policies and practices for assessing synergies/trade-offs of the policies and identifying the areas of policy gaps which need further review and policy analysis; and to discuss opportunities and lessons learnt for making pertinent recommendations for the context of the APO economies. The participants will have discussions on the energy policies and issues to identify opportunities and challenges for the APO economies to share effective practices among them.
