Dar reviews performance of foreign missions

To review the performance of different officers posted at foreign missions was held here on Thursday under the chairmanship of Federal Miinister for Finance Ishaq Dar The meeting was attended by ministers for Information, Broadcasting and National Heritage Senator Pervaiz Rashid,
Planning and Development Ahsan Iqbal, Minister of State for Information Technology Anusha Rehman, Special Assistant to Prime Minister Tariq Fatmi, Special Assistant to Prime Minister Khawaja Zaheer, Secretaries of overseas and labour, information, and commerce and senior officials of finance and defence ministries. The meeting reviewed the report submitted by the sub-committee, and the finance minister directed the it to hold further deliberations with all stakeholders. The objective, he said was to bring about austerity, streamline a transparent process of posting with the right man at the right job and cut the number of posts to bring about savings without affecting the efficiency of the missions.
