Refugees Affected and Hosting Areas Programme (RAHA-UNDP), Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, a project funded by government of Japan, organised a month skilled training for women from three union councils of Peshawar. During the month skilled training Programme, around 20 women belonging Union Council Sufaid Dhair, Malakand Dhair and University town, participated, and trained them about stitching and cutting of clothes and embroidery work on outfits. Master Trainer Nazlain Naaz gave training to women participants about stitching of simple and designing cloths.
Ms. Shahneela, an official of RAHA-KP Programme informed that the main purpose of the training was to enhance skilled of women belonging to these three Union Councils. The participants have appreciated the RAHA-KP for arranging the skilled training, and said they will also give training to other women in their respective localities, whatever they have learned from this skilled training.
After participating the skilled training, the women hoped that they will be able to run their own business by opening indoor boutique at the houses. They also expressed hope that the RAHA-UNDP will arrange such training sessions in future.
