German Development Corporation GIZ (Gesellschaft fur Internationale Zusammenar-beit) education project organised a technical and vocational training reform support programme for representatives of Business Membership Organisations (BMOs) in Pakistan. An expert Franz Neinhaus assisted the BMOs to develop new services to their members in the field of finding access to national, regional and international markets.
He pointed out role of chambers in enhancing and growth of private sector activities as well as performances of their Chamber. "To achieve the purpose, firstly, we need to develop our skills and capabilities to serve our members efficiently and effectively," he said.
He appreciated GIZ for its generous usual supports and urged the representatives of Chambers to observe law and by-law in their daily performance. During the two-day training, Hans-Ludwig Bruns co-ordinator GIZ presented the major activities and experiences in detail to the participants. From these training programmes, each participant will have an opportunity to share his/her feedback, suggestions and experiences to other audiences.
At the end, the organiser hoped that the presentations and discussions have been efficient to the Secretaries-General of Chambers. "We expect you all to provide acceptable and efficient services to members across the country as well as always keep in touch with headquarters toward advocate and manage private sector proficiently.
They said GIZ is committed to provide workshops and trainings internally and internationally at different levels toward capacity-building of its employees whether for headquarters office or chambers.

Gesellschaft fur Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH is owned by Federal Republic of Germany which supports in achieving its objectives in international cooperation for sustainable development Building consensus among the Federations member Chambers and the wider private sector development on a capacity development and growth strategy. Khurram Javed Secretary-General of Multan Chamber took part in the workshop and represented South Punjab.
