Shehbaz Sharif vows to develop Sindh
BHANOTE: Chief Minister Punjab Shehbaz Sharif Tuesday vowed to develop Sindh by provision of all basic facilities after getting mandate from the province.
He made such commitment while addressing the party convention which converted into a big public meeting here.
Shehbaz lamented the Zardari led PPP government in Sindh and alleged that the people of the province had been deprived of their basic rights due to plundering of the national exchequer.
Sindh is the province which played key role in creation of Pakistan and after the governments of Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto and Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto, the province had been damaged by Asif Ali Zaradri, he said and alleged that huge amount had been looted while usurping the rights of the people of Sindh.
Recalling the development in Punjab by his government, Shehbaz Sharif said one can witness the developed infrastructure including communication, health and education after entering in Punjab.
He informed that Danish Schools were providing education to boys and girls of the province free of charge with scholarships, besides providing food and health facilities to them. Similarly, he said state-of-the-art facilities have been provided in the hospitals of Punjab where the patients were getting free medical treatment, medicines and laboratory tests.
He informed that the Punjab Government had disbursed scholarships of Rs. 17 billion among boys and girls students while Rs. 40 billion interest free loans had been granted to jobless youth who have now developed their own businesses and make due contribution in the national economy.
The Punjab Chief Minister maintained that if he received the chance to rule provincial government of Sindh with mandate of the people, the province would witness the new era of development with availability of all basic facilities to the masses at their doorsteps.
He said no development can be achieved in the country without development of all provinces and Azad Kashmir and the PML (N) fully committed to make Pakistan one of the developed countries of the world.
The PML (N) government would carry out development right from Karachi to Kashmore if it gets chance to form government in Sindh after the general election, he said and added that each district of the province would have schools like Danish School and the residents of these districts would also avail medical facilities free of cost from the hospitals to be equipped with state-of-the-art-facilities.
The PML (N) President said there was no difference between PTI and PPP in usurping the rights of the people however, it was the government of former Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif which overcome the issue of load shedding by establishing power plants, restored peace in the country particularly in Karachi by combating terrorism and initiated China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC).
In the previous government, he said former Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif had distributed state land among landless farmers of Sindh and if the PML (N) government come into power in Sindh, it will distribute the available state land among all landless peasants of the province.
Praising the services of Shah Muhammad Shah, the President PML (N) congratulated him on his election as President of provincial chapter of the party and hoped that he and other office bearers will strengthen the roots of the party and spread over the message of party leadership including Muhammad Nawaz Sharif in every nook and corner of Sindh.
The party convention was also addressed by the President PML (N) Sindh Shah Muhammad Shah, President PML (N) Hyderabad Division Shah Zaman Shah, Kheal Das Kohistani and Arif Jamal Suharwardi.
Among others, State Minister Shafqat Hussain Shah Sheerazi, Senator Mushahid Hussain Syed, Senator Asad Junejo and Education Minister Punjab Rana Mashhood were also present on the occasion.
