The provincial government has decided to launch a one-day anti-polio campaign in some parts of Karachi on Sunday, Aaj News reported. According to the channel, the Sindh government has decided to impose Section 144 in 40 Union Councils of six districts of Karachi. Moreover, there will also be a ban on motorcycle riding altogether in 23 union councils from 0800 hours to 1700 hours.
The ban on motorcycle riding will be in 11 UCs of District East, six UCs of district West, five UCs of district Malir while one UC of Centre and Karachi south included in it. The decision to ban bike riding has been taken due to recent attacks on polio teams.
