Speakers at a condolence meeting organised by Council of Pakistan Newspaper Editors (CPNE) for veteran journalist and newspaper editor Fasieh Iqbal on Saturday paid glowing tributes to him. They recalled services that the late Fasieh Iqbal rendered for the cause of freedom of press and restoration of democracy in the country. They also praised his role in raising voice-with a strong commitment-for the resolution of the Balochistan issues.
Speakers included Mahmoodul Aziz, Dr Jabbar Khattak, Mushtaq Ahmed Qureshi, Hamid Husain Abdi, Wamiq A. Zuberi, Aamir Mahmood, Naseer Hashmi, Javed Mahr Shamsi, Ghulam Nabi Chandio, Owais Aslam Ali, Saeed Khawar, Dr Waqar Yousuf Azimi, Kamran Rizvi, Danish Channa, Salman Qureshi, Usman Arab Saathi, Zahida Abbasi and Durdana Shahab.
