Three-day gems and jewellery exhibition, organised by Pakistan Gems and Jewellery Development Company, started here on Saturday. Secretary Mines and Minerals Gilgit-Baltistan Rai Ali Hasnain Raza inaugurated the three-day event, said a press release.
MPA, Balochistan Assembly Rahila Durrani, Chairpersons Pakistan Gems and Jewellery Development Company (PGJDC) Mrs Seemi Sadique and CEO PGJDC Bakhtiar Khan were also present on the occasion. A wide variety of Pakistani gems and jewellery products including precious/ semi-precious gemstones, mineral specimens, diamonds /gems studded jewellery, branded jewellery and fine jewellery (gold, white gold, silver), etc, displayed at the exhibition.
The exhibition of Gems and Jewellery products will continue for three days. A large number of Gems and Jewellery companies and traders of four provinces including Gilgit-Baltistan are participating in the exhibition and more than 80 stalls established.
Secretary Mines and Minerals Gilgit-Baltistan Rai Ali Hasnain Raza appreciated the organiser and said the event will promote the industry of Gems and Jewellery and its imports will be increased. He said the exhibition will provide great business development opportunities to local and international dealers associated with Gems and Jewellery trade.
