Watch robots casually jogging and moving around on their own
With robots getting more natural and human-like, newly released videos show the latest progress of robots where they can be seen jogging and roaming around an office like any other normal person.
Boston Dynamics posted two clips on YouTube that showed improvements in its two robots - the humanoid one Atlas and the god-like SpotMini. The videos demonstrate how these robots have gotten more natural and more amazing.
In one of the videos, the humanoid robot Atlas is seen jogging randomly in an uneven grassy yard while also pausing and jumping over a log. Last year, a video was released in which the same robot was performing a back flip.

The second video shows the dog-like SpotMini robot that moves around a workplace on its own. It also climbs up and down the stairs with complete ease. Boston Dynamics informs that an operator initially had to take the robot through the course it took so that it could map the area via cameras mounted all on front, back and sides of the robot. In the video, the robot uses the information to operate autonomously on its own with the help of cameras for avoiding obstacles.
