Bilateral Political Consultations: inaugural round held between Pakistan and Spain

The inaugural round of Bilateral Political Consultations was held between Pakistan and Spain in Madrid the other day. The Pakistan delegation was led by Aizaz Ahmad Chaudhry, Foreign Secretary and included Pakistan's Ambassador to Spain, Rizwan-ul-Haq Mahmood, says a press release issued here on Wednesday.
The Spanish side was headed by Gonzalo de Benito Secades, Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs. The Consultations focused on review of bilateral relations and possibilities of strengthening co-operation in diverse areas of bilateral interest. Special focus was placed on enhancing investment in energy and agriculture sectors in Pakistan. Possibility of education and cultural co-operation, development of institutional linkages and enhancing people-to-people contacts were also discussed.-PR
