Suicide attack at district court: IGP sees positive developments in investigation

Inspector General of Police (IGP) Sikandar Hayat on Wednesday said that there was a positive development in the investigation of gun and suicide attack at District Court that killed 11 persons and injured 29 others. Talking to media persons after visit of District Court, he said that there was positive development in the investigation.
However, he could not share it with media at this stage. He said that police have recovered heads of the suicide bombers which could not be identified. To a question, he said that Lal Masjid or Ghazi force were not included in the investigation. However, he said that if we found any lead related to the incident we will include it in the investigation. Meanwhile, the joint investigation team also visited crime scene and recorded statement of an eyewitness Asad Ullah Khan.
