Command, Control and Communication Centre: minister inaugurates construction work
Provincial Minister for Environment Protection and Chairman Police Reforms Committee Colonel Shuja Khanzada (Retd) inaugurated construction work of the building of Command, Control and Communication Center at Qurban Police Line. Secretary Home Punjab, IG Police, DIG Telecommunication and Transport, Chairman PITB Punjab, Dr Amanat Consultant Punjab Police, Dr Mustafa Ozgolar, head of Turkish delegation, Chief Architect C&W Department and senior police officers were present at the function.
Speaking on the occasion, the minister said that on the instruction of Chief Minister Punjab, construction work of the building of Command, Control and Communication Centre would be completed within a year at a cost of around two and a half billion rupees. He said that in the first phase, six thousand cameras will be installed in the provincial metropolis for monitoring and control of crime. Chairman Police Reforms Committee said that under Command, Control and Communication Centre, CCTV cameras will be installed in other big cities of the province under a phased programme.
