BUNER: PML-N leader Maryam Nawaz Sharif Monday evening said Nawaz Sharif, who had served the country thrice as elected prime minister, did not need the certificate of patriotism from anyone.

Addressing a mammoth public gathering here, the PML-N leader said people from Karachi to Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Gwadar to Chitral loved Nawaz Sharif for his selfless service and matchless contribution in progress and development of the country.

She said Nawaz Sharif was the only politician whose relationship had strengthened with the people of Pakistan during the last 30 years. That relationship was being strengthened with each passing day and time was not far when the PML-N would get landslide victory in 2018 general election with the support of masses, she added.

She said the mandate given to Nawaz Sharif by the people again and again was the biggest proof of his patriotism to the country and selfless service to the masses.

She said Nawaz Sharif served the country three times as prime minister, made it a nuclear power, gave CPEC, crushed terrorism, restored peace in Karachi, brought Balochistan and FATA into mainstream, and tirelessly worked for rule of law and constitution.

Mayam Nawaz alleged that the NAB chairman had ordered an inquiry against Nawaz Sharif simply on media reports about laundering $ 4.9b to a neighboring country, without making investigation.

She said the people would give a befitting response to all those elements making propaganda against Nawaz Sharif in 2018 general election.

She said Nawaz Sharif’s statement about the Mumbai attack was misinterpreted. Propaganda against the country's most popular leader would not succeed and he would continue to rule on the hearts of people, she added.

Despite the opponents' politics of lock-down and agitation, she said the PML-N government had continued pace of economic development and completed record mega projects throughout the country. In Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, it completed Lowari Tunnel, Nawaz Sharif Kidney Hospital Swat and Hazara Motorway etc, she added.

She said the popularity of Nawaz Sharif had increased manifold as today's mammoth, mostly of youth, was a clear testimony to that effect.

Maryam said the sanctity of votes would be upheld and the people would vote in favour of the PML-N as it was the only party that could make the country an Asian Tiger economically.

On this occasion, the people raised full throat slogans "Nawaz Sharif Qadam Bharo Hum Tumhara Sath Hain" and "Long Live Nawaz Sharif."
