Pakistan bedwear exports soared by 21 percent to $1.408 billion in July-February 2013-14, say official figures. The country's export of bedwear mounted by $242 million in July-February 2013-14 from $1.166 billion in the same period last fiscal year, according to Pakistan Bureau of Statistics (PBS).
In volume terms: bed-wear export grew by 34, 033 metric tons (20 percent) to 206,695 metric tons in July-February 2013-14 up from 172,662 metric tons in the same period last fiscal year, the PBS indicates. In February 2014, bed-wear export went up by $33.805 million (25.23 percent) to $167.818 million from $134.013 million in February 2013, the statistics suggest. Bed-wear export quantity surged by 4,189 metric tons (21 percent) to 24,407 metric tons in February 2014 from 20,218 metric tons in February 2013, the figures say.
