A three-day 21st HVAC&R Exhibition and Conference is being held on April 3-5 at the Expo Centre to showcase latest developments and technological advancements taking place in the field of heating, ventilation, air conditioning and refrigeration.
"This exhibition is of great importance and an opportunity for all those attached with the HVAC&R sector to take advantage of experience of seasoned consultants and experts from their own community to learn from them," said HVAC&R Society Lahore Chapter Chairman Muhammad Boota and Convenor of HVAC&R Expo & Conference Safdar Ali Mughal.
He was addressing the Lahore Economic Journalists Association (Leja) members here on Monday. Senior HVAC&R Consultant Khalid Mahmood, Nucon Engineers CEO Mustafa Khalid and COO Abuzafar Mahmud were also present at the conference. Around 200 companies from Pakistan and abroad will be setting up their stalls to exhibit their products, while venders and other service industries try to exhibit their skills for installation and after sale support in this sector to the Consultants and the visitors of this important exhibition, which is an annual feature being practiced by the society.
They said the invitation of the components of HVACR systems goes hand-in-hand with the industrial revolution, new methods of modernisation, higher efficiency and system controls. Regarding issues confronting the industry, they said energy efficiency; indoor air quality, building integration and automation, green building initiatives/sustainability, information technology and business management, mold & moisture control and other such topics are the burning issues being faced by the HVAC&R stakeholders.
The volume of air-conditioning business has increased tremendously. One can access the growth by counting the firms and people directly involved in imports of air-conditioning equipment, local manufacturing, marketing, installations and after sale services. "We are having three full fledge ASHRAE Chapters (American Society of Heating, Refrigerating & Air-Conditioning Engineers). We also have about 1500 plus members in Pakistan HVACR Society, which is affiliated society of ASHRAE," they added.
