The secretaries of all administrative departments of Sindh have been asked to submit schemes proposals of their respective departments to the Finance and Planning and Development departments so as to prepare the next fiscal year budget on time, it was learnt on Wednesday. Reliable sources told Business Recorder that the provincial finance department issued circulars to all its administrative departments, organisations, institutions in March 2014.
The Planning and Development department also issued letters with title "Guidelines for the formulation of Public Sector Development Programme (PSDP) 2014-15" to all departments. A copy of said letter available with this correspondent stated: "The PSDP 2014-15 should be in line with prevalent economic policies and strategies of the government. All departments may, therefore, scrutinise their projects in the approved portfolio." The allocations for the rural areas schemes to be increased by at least 15 percent as compared to allocations made during current year.
