Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Governor Sardar Mehtab Ahmad Khan Abbasi has said the Pakistan Muslim League-N government was moving forward with commitment and determination to make Pakistan a developed country. He said the workers of PML-N should play their effective role for strong, stable and prosperous Pakistan under the leadership of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif.
He said the government was fully committed to restore peace to pave the way for overcoming energy crisis, economic development and unemployment in the province. He expressed these views while talking to a delegation of Pakistan Muslim League-N provincial cabinet of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, led by its President Pir Sabir Shah at the Governor's House here on Thursday. He said the PML-N, in keeping with its track record, will promote a culture of reconciliation and reject the culture of revenge, which was one of the main causes of political instability.
The delegation apprised the Governor about the problems and difficulties which they have been facing. The Governor assured the delegation of taking necessary action to solve their grievances. Addressing another delegation of Pakistan Muslim League-N Fata also led by Pir Sabir Shah, the Governor said that austerity measures would be taken to ensure the provision of health centers, schools, colleges, hospitals, employment opportunities and modern facilities in Fata.
He said that Fata badly needs a healing touch so that through democracy and development, the area could be secured against terrorism and extremism. He said the services and sacrifices of the tribal people were highly valuable and these would always be remembered.
He said the tribal people had practically proved that they liked their country more than their own lives. Paying rich tributes to the sacrifices which the Jawans and officers of the armed forces have been rendering for the restoration of peace and bringing stability in Fata, the Governor reminded the tribal elders that they have to continue their support to make the desired goals achieved for the stability of the country.
