Karachi police on Friday claimed to have arrested around 93 alleged criminals in targeted raids and encounters in different areas of the metropolis during last 24 hours. According to police, some 84 targeted raids were conducted in different areas while two encounters also took place that led to the arrests of 93 alleged criminals involved in different criminal activities.
Police arrested some 11 alleged criminals under Arms Act and 15 were arrested under Narcotics Act. Two dacoits, six extortionists, two terrorists, 21 absconders, and some 33 others involved in criminal activities were also arrested during the raids. Police said it recovered 17 hand guns, and two hand grenades from their possession.
