Demanding for taking action against opportunists and corrupt elements in Pakistan People's party, the party activists from Peshawar division staged a protest demonstration outside Peshawar Press Club here on Friday. The protest was organized by Peoples Party Workers Ittehad district Peshawar, under the leadership of Shaukat Khan Mohammad, along with dozens of PPP workers.
The party activists were holding placards and banner, inscribed with slogans, demanding accountability and transparency within the party and against its decisions after assassination of the PPP slain chairperson Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto. The protesters while talking to media persons, demanding the PPP central leadership to purge off the corrupt elements from the party in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and to save the party there. They also demanded the leadership to take action against former MNA and MPAs for step-motherly treatment during the former PPP- led government in the country.
