It was a big day at the Institute of Cost of Management Accountants of Pakistan (ICMAP) where a grand national award ceremony was organised on Wednesday to acknowledge achievements and excellence of both its students and members. The ceremony for this year's National Award marked a number of milestones for the institute in which 221 associate members were officially presented awards.
Talking to the audience, ICMAP President Zia ul Mustafa Awan said that this event signifies a great achievement as the institute has completed six decades since its inception in 1951 and today's graduates would play a pivotal role in bringing positive contribution in the business management in Pakistan. He also outlined the institute's future plan of expansion and sooner the institute would be benefiting a number of students who could not get education due to their remoteness. Vice President, Ghulam Mustafa Qazi urged the graduates to be the leaders of change their society so desperately needed.
While addressing the students, Abdul Khalil, Chairman CPD Committee advised that they should observe time management, work hard without looking for shortcuts and be proud of their past and added there is a great difference in student life and practical life. Speaking to the journalists, students expressed happiness that they had achieved a major milestone of their career and hoped that their journey to excellence would continue.-PR
