On Thursday at Pakistan Mercantile Exchange (PMEX) value traded increased by 4.86 percent to PKR 3,075 million from PKR 2,933 million on Wednesday. Number of lots traded was reported at 13,214 and PMEX Commodity Index closed at 3,024. Major business was contributed by gold amounting to PKR 1,858 million, followed by crude oil (PKR 1,101 million) and silver (PKR 115 million).
While there was 53 percent increase in gold volume to PKR 1,858 million from PKR 1,212 million, there was also 15 percent increase in silver value to PKR 115 million from PKR 100 million.
