Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Pervez Khattak has said that the provincial government will guarantee the implementation of the quota of special persons in public sector employment and admission in professional educational institutions.
Addressing awards distribution ceremony under the auspices of Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education, Kohat, he said that in past the quota of special persons was violated to recruit healthy, but in future it will not be tolerated. He said the provincial government would guarantee the supremacy of law, merit and justice in every department and its practical implementation has already been started.
The chief minister said the PTI-led provincial coalition government has increased the quotas of special persons and minorities and from the next financial and academic years it would be implemented in letter and in spirit.
On the occasion, he on behalf of the KP provincial government announced the provision of hearing-aid instruments to 175 special children of the Centre for Speech and Hearing, Mardan, and provision of annual grant for the purpose and maximum increase in the funds of the Department of Social Welfare.
He expressed the hope that the affluent people would come to the rescue of the destitute people of the terrorism affected province and would extend financial support in the establishment of welfare and special training institutions.
The chief minister awarded the gold medal to special girl Hina Razi Khan, which along with thousands of other minor girls and boys appeared in the Secondary School Certificate examination from Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education, Kohat, and secured distinction.
The girl, however, due to the poverty of her parents decided to quit the education. But, on getting information the chief minister invited the mother, school principal and members of the board to Peshawar and after appreciating the parents and staff of the school on her brilliant education carrier and announced taking the responsibility of future education of the girl.
