Ex-prime minister and PPP leader Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani has welcomed Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif's decision to attend oath-taking ceremony of Narendra Modi in India. Talking to the media persons after attending 'Qul' of ex-MNA (late) Mohsin Qureshi in Kot Addu on Sunday, he said that it was a right decision on right time by the incumbent government and also termed it beneficial for the both countries. He observed that Nawaz Sharif should take advantage of the visit and talk about different issues including Kashmir issue.
To a question, Gilani maintained that Pakistan People's Party was in favour of democracy and would not allow derailing of democratic system. He said that democracy whether it was weak, was better than dictatorship.
