Qureshi lauds KPK govt for developing consensus on caretaker setup
MULTAN: Vice Chairman Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Makhdoom Shah Mehmood Qureshi said on Sunday the KPK government was the only provincial government which named caretaker chief minister after consultation with Opposition party.
Talking to the media here, Shah Mehmood Qureshi said the caretaker set-up in Centre could not be named despite various meetings between the incumbent government and Opposition leader.
He said the issue of caretaker setup in Centre would be settled by eight-member parliamentary committee.
Responding to a question about Asad Durrani's book, Qureshi stated that all government officials would follow country's code of conduct. He, however added that Asad Durrani would have to submit his answer to GHQ.
About FATA, he stated that FATA was merged with KPK after consensus and parliamentary majority. He, however added that JUI-F should not had launched protest.
To another question about his differences with Jahangir Tareen, Qureshi said that he had no difference with Jahangir Tareen. He also appreciated services of Jahangir Tareen for the party.
